Home and Away’s Emily Symons celebrates reunion with Georgie Parker

Emily Symons was overjoyed to be back at work with her best friend Georgie Parker on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old Home and Away actress shared a selfie of herself and her co-star on-set of the long-running Channel Seven soap to Instagram.

‘Back at the bait shop with my lovely @georgieparker,’ she captioned the cuddly snap, adding a pink love heart emoji.

In the photo, Georgie, 56, is seen wrapping an affectionate arm around Emily’s shoulders as the two women press their cheeks together for a smiling selfie. 

Their reunion comes after the show’s hiatus over the Christmas period, with Georgie commenting on the post with a series of blue and red love hearts.  

As well as being two of Home and Away’s longest serving cast members, Emily and Georgie share a close friendship in real-life.

Posting a series of photos of the two of them together for Georgie’s birthday on December 16, Emily wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my ride or die @georgieparker. Love you’.

‘Ahh darling Em, love you too. Ride or die baby,’ responded Georgie, while co-star Sam Frost added, ‘My favourite friendship, love you both dearly x’.   

Georgie returned the sweet sentiment in an Instagram post for Emily’s birthday on August 10 last year.

‘How much do I [heart] thee? Let me count the ways… better still, I’ll take you to lunch,’ she captioned a series of photos of them together.

‘Happiest of birthdays to this amazing woman and friend. Hope you’ve had a beautiful day darling Em’.  

In another Instagram post following a hiatus in May last year, Emily shared a playful photo of herself and Georgie and wrote: ‘Back with my bestie and back on location’.
