The fashion designer now spends the day in the exclusive Birdcage but admits she likes the rowdy side of the famous horse-racing carnival.

‘You get amongst it and it’s fun and it’s rowdy. In recent years I’ve spent more time in the birdcage but I like them all for different reasons,’ she said.

She continued: ‘I still like going into the nursery and I like the togetherness there and you can roam from car park to car park.’

Nadia’s outing comes after her ex-husband, retired AFL star Jimmy Bartel, shared a heartwarming photo of the couple’s two sons dressed in Iron Man and The Hulk costumes for book week.

On Thursday, the Geelong Cats legend revealed on Instagram that Aston, four, had chosen to go as Iron Man for the annual event. Even though Henley, two, hasn’t started school yet, Jimmy let him dress as The Hulk so he ‘didn’t feel left out’.

The Bartels, who married in 2014, announced their separation on August 15 last year, but they actually broke up two months earlier.

Jimmy was romantically linked to office worker Lauren Mand just days after his split from his wife was made public.

Meanwhile, Nadia has since found love with personal trainer Nathan Brodie.

The pair’s fling hit the headlines in September, when they were pictured together in Melbourne on two separate occasions.
