Iggy Azalea announces SPLIT from boyfriend Playboi Carti and confirms she will raise their son Onyx as a single mother
Iggy Azalea has officially split from the father of her child, Playboi Carti.
The Australian rapper, 30, confirmed the sad news on Sunday by posting a short message on Instagram Stories.
‘What I meant last night was that I’m raising my son alone and I’m not in a relationship,’ Iggy wrote on a plain black background.

Iggy (real name Amethyst Kelly) had hinted at the breakup in cryptic Instagram Story posts just hours earlier.
‘You lost a real 1!!!!’ she wrote, adding: ‘People take loyalty for granted & That’s why I’d rather be alone [vomiting emojis].
Iggy and Carti, 24, (real name Jordan Terrell Carter) began dating in 2018 and had what many would describe as an on-and-off relationship.

The couple briefly broke up in December last year, with Iggy declaring on Instagram that she was ‘single’.
However, they reconciled shortly afterwards.
In early May, TMZ reported that Iggy and Carti had welcomed a son together.

‘I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realise I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world,’ she wrote.

In July, Iggy revealed her son’s unique name Onyx in a short clip shared to Instagram.
The video consisted of the words ‘Amethyst & Onyx’ – Amethyst being Iggy’s legal first name – against a plain black background.
