I’m A Celeb stars baffle fans when they start talking about ‘R and R’… seemingly referring to ‘surprise’ new campmates Russell and Ruthie
Fans of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! were left unconvinced on Tuesday night, after the campmates seemingly confirmed they were aware of ‘surprise’ newcomers Ruthie Henshall and Russell Watson.
During the final moments of the show – which are aired live – hosts Ant and Dec told the 10 celeb contestants already in the castle that they were all taking part in the trial.
After this, the presenters told viewers at home that the camp had no idea they were going to be joined by singer Russell and actress Ruthie.

However, as the camera lingered on the celebrities as they geared themselves up for the trial, Shane Richie started repeating ‘R and R’.
Shane declared that he thought the name of the trial – Stage Fright – indicated ‘R and R’, presumably given the new campmates’ careers treading the boards.
The others seemed to know what he was referring to, and viewers cottoned on as well.
‘Its alright saying the campmates haven’t a clue but Shane was walking round saying R&R. If that doesn’t mean Russell and Ruth then what DOES it mean. He knows!’ someone mused on Twitter.

Lies? Ant and Dec told viewers at home that the camp had no idea they were going to be joined by singer Russell and actress Ruthie
Another posted: ‘The camp mates clearly know about the new ones as after Ant and Dec spoke they were all chanting “R AND R” (Russel and Ruth)!’
Another penned: ‘Is it just me that heard Shane say “its R n R coming in” as they announced the trial… so they know already Russel and Ruthie are coming in?!’
‘Anyone else notice that some of the Celebs were talking about R & R (Russell and Ruth) before the end of the programme? They already knew two new campmates were going to be doing the trial. Awkward!’ someone else voiced.
‘Why did Shane and the others say R and R if they didn’t know they weren’t doing the trial and it was in fact Russel and Ruthie? Hmmmmmm?’ another amateur sleuth mused.
