Vernon Kay revealed his wife Tess Daly is loving his new six-pack after he lost two and a half stone appearing on I’m A Celeb this month.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Monday, Vernon, 46, talked about the changes to his body after eating a diet of largely rice and beans.
Piers Morgan, 55, said to him: ‘Now Vernon, look mate, I need to lose that kind of weight very dramatically. Would you recommend a beans and rice diet?

Vernon replied: ‘No, 100 per cent no. And thrice again no. It’s awful.’
He asked: ‘Is Tess pleased to see a new slimline Vern arriving home?’
And he said: ‘I’ll be honest Piers, I’m not going to lie, there are a few ripples that weren’t there before around the abdomen area.’
Piers said: ‘Vernon, you were my tip to be the King of the Castle and I really felt you deserved it.

‘You got beaten by somebody, on a programme called I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!… you got beaten by somebody I’ve never heard of! Who is Giovanna Fletcher?’
Vernon kindly replied: ‘She’s got huge followers with her podcasts and the books that herself and her husband Tom write.
‘But do you know what Piers, she is the most loveliest person that I think I’ve met in a very long time. She’s really, really endearing, really sweet, really compassionate.
Piers said: ‘You got beaten by somebody, on a programme called I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!… you got beaten by somebody I’ve never heard of! Who is Giovanna Fletcher?’
Vernon kindly replied: ‘She’s got huge followers with her podcasts and the books that herself and her husband Tom write’
‘She had a great skill of just listening to people talk and I know that well-being is always at the top of everyone’s list recently.
‘And she was really good at just listening to people’s issues and problems – what they like and didn’t like. As a fellow campmate of Giovanna’s, I thought she well and truly deserved to be Queen.’
Piers said that he had hoped for a little more tension in camp.
He said: ‘My only problem with this year’s series, probably because of the pandemic and the tough year, everyone was so sycophantic to each other.
‘All sitting there holding hands, sobbing telling each other how special you all were. I wanted someone to go nuts.’

Vernon replied: ‘Do you know what Piers, we’ve had dinner together, and basically it was like having you at a dinner table – loving, compassionate, hugging.’
Meanwhile, the night before, Tess, 51, said she was already ‘feeding up’ her husband after his weight loss.
The Strictly Come Dancing star took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo of chicken soup and bread she made for her other half.
Alongside the photo, the TV host wrote: ‘Chicken soup at bedtime… feeding him up’.
Tess told of her joy at having her husband back home as she shared a photo of the pair together and wrote: ‘After almost 5 weeks away (2 and a half in isolation before going into the Castle) it’s so good to have him home ❤️ Now it’s time to get that Christmas tree up.’

It comes after Vernon claimed he lost a lot of weight during his 19-day stint on I’m A Celebrity and was left feeling ‘drained’.
The Family Fortunes host, who came third in the ITV reality show, said the programme’s doctor delivered the news after a check-up before he left Gwrych Castle in Wales on Friday night.
He said: ‘We were eating nothing but rice and beans. For the first two meals you’re like, ‘Yeah, we can do this’, then you realise every meal is bloody rice and beans. It’s awful. You’re so drained.
‘The medic weighed us after the show and I’ve lost just over two and a half stone, and I haven’t got two and a half stone to lose. So you’re physically drained, you’re emotionally drained because you’re missing your family.’

Vernon, who has been married to Tess or 17 years, said that he is looking forward to putting the weight back on over Christmas.
When asked what he will do when he gets back to his Buckinghamshire home, he said: ‘We’re going to put the Christmas tree up and I’ve got a funny feeling there may be a bottle of champagne involved. Oh I’m going to enjoy putting that two and half stone back on.’
The father-of-two paid tribute to his wife for supporting him and getting him votes by using Instagram.
He added: ‘Tess was just elated for me. I’ve seen what she’s done on social media and she’s worked her socks off for me, it’s amazing.
‘We’re going to be reunited after Strictly. I’ll get home and see the girls first, Tess will get back about midnight.’
