Inside Neighbours star Takaya Honda’s stunning Byron Bay nuptials: Actor, 33, marries longtime partner Amy Schwab in an emotional ceremony complete with a couture dress, vegan wedding cake and dancing on the beach

Neighbours star Takaya Honda has married his longtime partner, Amy Schwab. 

The pair tied the knot in an emotional and stunning ceremony in the idyllic Byron Bay at the weekend. 

The pair shared pictures and video from their big day, revealing it was complete with a gorgeous couture gown, a vegan wedding cake and even a romantic dance on the beach after saying ‘I do.’

The couple’s ceremony was held at luxury accommodation venue Sundays at Byron, which has sweeping views of the hinterland, before holding their ceremony at the the luxe Byron at Byron, a Crystalbrook Collection Resort.

Amy stunned in a figure-hugging beaded white gown, which featured a plunging neckline, and completed her look with a white headpiece and natural-looking makeup. 

Takaya, 33, who plays David Tanaka on Neighbours, looked dapper in a beige suit and a white shirt.

‘Amy, You have never been a question. You have always been an answer. Life never feels like an if, but a when with you,’ Takaya said in his nuptials. 

‘For me home is not a particular place. It it whenever I am with you. Getting married is brave, and I choose to be brave with you. Takaya, you make life so special. And there’s no one else I want to be walking this path with,’ Amy told him, through tears.

The pair said ‘I do’ under a circular white archway, complete with colourful flowers.

It was decorated with fresh fruit and flowers. 

The pair had originally postponed their nuptials because of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

They have been dating for five years. 

Takaya proposed in April 2019 in Byron Bay, popping the question at sunset on the beach.
