Jason Kennedy is moving on from his television home for the past 16 years, the E! Entertainment network.

The 39-year-old host of E!’s In the Room, who had contributed to and hosted several  other E! programs throughout the years, announced his departure on Instagram Monday morning.

The announcement comes months after E! canceled his show In the Room back in August, along with E! News and Pop of the Morning.

‘I don’t think it’s possible to sum up 16 amazing years. I’ve had the time of my life at E!’ Kennedy began.

‘Most recently, I loved being the host of In the Room, but COVID restrictions made it impossible to capture interviews with celebrities in a more personal setting, so I’ve decided to explore new opportunities,’ he added.

Kennedy continued that he’s, ‘leaving with a grateful and full heart thinking about my experience, and the lifelong friendships I’ve made along the way.’
