Jessica Marais beams as she reveals her toned physique in a sporty black bikini

Jessica Marais was hospitalised ‘in a distressed state’ last year after emergency crews were called to her home for a welfare check. 

But on Tuesday, almost a year later, the 36-year-old actress was a vision of health and happiness as she hit the beach for a solo dip at the beach in Coogee.   

The Packed To The Rafters star appeared to be in good spirits despite Sydney’s blustery weather, as she was seen smiling while bounding among the crashing waves.

Jessica’s skin-baring swimwear featured a plunging neckline and low-rise bottoms which showcased her fit physique to perfection.  

She went makeup-free for the low-key outing, and tied her blonde locks into a messy topknot. 

The mother-of-one star also appeared to debut a set of delicate, black and green tattoos on her left forearm. 

Thanks to the cut of her bikini bottoms, onlookers also spied Jessica’s small spiritual Hindu tattoo, located on her lower back, and a rose inking on her upper left thigh.   

After returning to the shore, Jessica quickly dried herself off and bundled up from the cold in a grey T-shirt and black hoodie.

Earlier in the day, Jessica was seen exercising alone at a nearby park.  

Listening to music through a pair of wired earphones, the star was seen breaking a sweat as she sprinted across the grass barefoot.  

Jessica wore a determined expression as she performed the sweat-inducing routine. 

During her outing, Jessica also took time to enjoy a moment of solitude as she sat on the beach sipping a canned beverage.  

Jessica sparked concern last year after she was hospitalised in a ‘distressed state’. 

On the afternoon of May 2, 2020, the Wrong Girl actress was walked from her Sydney home to an ambulance, where she was put on a gurney and taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick. 

A witness told Daily Mail Australia she was not wearing any shoes, her hair was a ‘dishevelled mess’ and she was in a ‘visibly distressed state’.

Fortunately, she appeared happy and healthy several weeks later as she spent time with her Packed to the Rafters co-star Hugh Sheridan. 

In 2014, Jessica spoke about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

‘I was diagnosed at one point with bipolar. I have developed ways to talk myself down from any ledges I find myself on,’ she told The Australian Women’s Weekly.

‘There’s probably one day a month when I am an absolute mess. In my case it’s hard to separate what is due to trauma or stress and what is due to a simple chemical imbalance.’
