John Barrowman has been forced to book an emergency dental appointment after suffering an accident in the bedroom resulting in a chipped tooth.
But rather than having a saucy story to tell his followers about the incident, the actor, 53, took to social media to explain that he did it by smacking his tooth on a plastic straw.
The ex-Desperate Housewives star looked hilarious as he recounted the series of events, his silver mane unkempt and his smile gap-toothed.

The unusual accident happened when he was trying to take a quick sip of water before sleeping and banged the plastic straw he was using into his tooth.
The entertainer decided to rename himself Snaggletooth and Cotton Bud man after teaming the new look up with his overgrown head of hair, while he continues lockdownn in the US.
John had to wait for the four days it took to get an emergency appointment at a cosmetic dentist.
John said: ‘I chipped my tooth in the middle of the night. I’d like to say it was something exciting, something happened, it was dramatic but it was this… sippy cup.

‘I went clunk and that was it on this hard plastic straw. So I know s**t happens I guess. I’ve got to get it fixed now and I really need a haircut.
‘I’m going to shave my head I think, maybe not shave it but I bought clippers. Snaggletooth and cotton bud man.’
He posted a video to Instagram when his tooth was fixed, branding his new gnashers ‘fabulous!’

John, who lives in Palm Springs with his other half Scott, had to rush to hospital last month after his mum fell and fractured her pelvis during isolation. She is now in recovery and posted a message thanking fans for their concerns on Mother’s Day.
He also posted a video of his parents thanking people for the support, in which Scottish Marion said ‘thank you for all your good wishes I appreciate it and love you all!’
