It’s no secret that Justin Theroux has been a dog lover and advocate over the years.

And on Sunday the Leftovers star headed out on one of his daily walks with his beloved Pit Bull, Kuma, wearing blue surgical gloves amid the growing coronavirus pandemic.

The 48-year-old actor was recognized by the occasional passer-by as he whisked through the bustling streets of Manhattan, with his trusted companion following close behind on a leash.

Like most days, Theroux tried to keep a low profile during his bonding time with his pooch dressed in black jeans and black hoodie.

He also donned black running sneakers, a black baseball cap over his short black hair and light-colored sunglasses.

On this day, Theroux put dog paw mitts on Kuma to help with the walk on the cement and tar surfaces.

Just days ago, the Mulholland Driver star insinuated that he’s hunkered down in his New York City digs, in the wake of coronavirus concerns, by sharing a photo of Kuma relaxing with a play toy with the caption: ‘Riding it out,’ written on the bottom.

The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic on March 11.

According to the Washington Post, there have been 3,244 confirmed cases in the US, resulting in 62 deaths.

Worldwide there have been 162,689 people sickened and 6,065 reported deaths.

Theroux adopted Kuma from the Texas-based organization called A Chance To Bloom Dog Rescue in 2018.

The non-profit rescued her from a kill shelter not long after she was found among the destruction left behind by Hurricane Harvey in 2017.

The Washington, DC native has regularly donated his time, money and star power to animal shelters and adoption organizations.
