Justin Theroux looks unrecognizable with a handlebar mustache while out in NYC… as he gears up to play G. Gordon Liddy in Watergate miniseries


Justin Theroux sported a massive handlebar mustache when he was spotted out in New York City this week, which he has grown in preparation for the role of G. Gordon Liddy in the upcoming Watergate miniseries. 

The 49-year-old actor showed off his musclebound arms in a clinging T-shirt advertising the 1980s hair metal band Ratt, while looking almost unrecognizable with his new facial hair style. 

He was walking his pit bull mix Kuma whom he adopted over the summer of 2018 after she was rescued from Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

Justin slung his aviator sunglasses from the neckline of his top and he slipped into a pair of olive green cargo trousers.

The ex-husband of Jennifer Aniston has grown out his facial hair for an upcoming HBO miniseries called The White House Plumbers about the Watergate scandal.

Justin will be playing G. Gordon Liddy, who was head of Richard Nixon’s secret investigative unit known as the White House Plumbers.

Liddy was the brains behind the Watergate break-in and eventually spent four and a half years in jail for illegal wiretapping, burglary and conspiracy.

Later in his life he became a successful media figure including by way of a syndicated radio show and he only died this March at the age of 90.

Alex Gregory, Peter Huyck, David Mandel and Frank Rich, who were all executive producers on Veep, are working on this new show according to Deadline.

Justin will be starring amid a cast that includes Woody Harrelson as Liddy’s co-conspirator E. Howard Hunt who was also jailed.

Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey will portray Hunt’s wife Dorothy and Brendan Gleeson’s son Domhnall is playing John Dean.

Meanwhile Justin’s upcoming releases include a horror movie called False Positive starring Pierce Brosnan as a nefarious fertility doctor.
