Kate Hudson steps out on the set of Truth Be Told in black slacks and tan overcoat

Production on season two of Truth Be Told kicked-off in late October in the Los Angeles area.

And on Wednesday, more than six week into shooting, one of the Apple TV+ crime drama’s new castmembers, Kate Hudson, was spotted on the set.

The Academy Award-nominated actress plays the longtime friend of leading lady Octavia Spencer’s character, Poppy Parnell.     

Hudson, 41,  was seen stepping out of a red car with a number of crew members working in the peripheral, amongst all the gear.

The costume department dressed her up in black slacks and a matching top with a tan overcoat that came down to just below her knees.

With an inquisitive look on her face as she circled the car, she rounded out the ensemble with black heels and her blonde tresses styled long and straight with a part on the left.

In the series, Spencer plays a true crime podcaster who sets out to solve a crime.

This second go-around, Hudson slips into the shoes of Micah Keith, a lifestyle guru and gal pal of Poppy. 

However, their friendship is put to the test when the podcaster begins investigating a crime that both women are deeply entwined with, according to Variety.  

The first season of Truth Be Told premiered in December 2019, shortly after the launch of the Apple streaming service.

It has also starred Aaron Paul, Lizzy Caplan, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood and Ron Cephas Jones. 

The last time Hudson appeared in a television series for more than one episode was when she played Cassandra July on Glee in 2012-2013.
