The Duchess of Cambridge looked ready for business in a designer shirt as she joined Prince William for a virtual appearance on International Men’s Day.

Kate Middleton, 38, was typically polished in the £175 silk Michael Kors blouse and the Duke, 38, spoke with a group from Future Men, a London-based charity providing guidance to men and boys, on a video call from the living room of Kensington Palace.

The royal plumped for a flattering shirt by the American designer, which featured an eye-catching medallion print. 

The video call comes as the Duchess prepares for the release of the results of her landmark national survey about early years development of children, which is due in the next few days.

Kate wore her bouncy brunette locks styled in her signature side parting and opted for minimal makeup as she sported a simple smokey eye. 

Meanwhile her shirt features gathered detailing along the yoke and trendy puffed sleeves to give it a feminine finish. 

She paired the vibrant shirt with a relaxed pair of black trousers for the virtual appearance. 

The royal has regularly opted for the American designer in the past, selecting a dress from Michael Kors when she attended work experience at a maternity hospital in London.

Meanwhile she wore a similar £215 design by the label when she took Prince George, seven, and Princess Charlotte, five, to the first day of school in September last year.

The Duchess appeared relaxed as she spoke with Future Men from her London home of Kensington Palace over the weekend.

Future Men provides a range of courses that help with different aspects of fatherhood, from enhancing father-child relationships to teaching practical and emotional approaches to enable men to take care of themselves, their partner and baby.

The men described their experiences of fatherhood from dealing with their child’s sleeping patterns to being a positive role model when Kate asked them about the challenges of family life, especially during lockdown.

When one of the fathers said he knew lots of men who did not know about the Future Men fatherhood courses but were interested, Kate said it was a ‘shame’ similar services were not more widely available.

The duchess explained: ‘Dads play such an important role it shouldn’t be a bad thing to reach out for help and advice.’

The appearance comes as the couple announced they had been left ‘heartbroken’ by the death of their family dog, Lupo.

Sharing the news with their 12million Instagram followers, they wrote: ‘Very sadly last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much. – W & C’. 

The English cocker spaniel was bred from a dog which was owned by Michael and Carole Middleton, Kate’s parents.

He was given to Will and Kate as a wedding present in 2011, and is believed to have helped them pick a name for Prince George.
