The Queen is currently observing a two-week mourning period and Kate reflected the sombre mood with her black ensemble.

She previously wore the military-inspired coat, which falls to just below the knees, on Remembrance Sunday in 2017. At the time she was pregnant with Prince Louis.

Today she paired the simple piece with a pair of suede Tod’s pumps with a chunky block heel and a simple clutch.

In keeping with the ‘less is more’ look, Kate wore her brunette locks loose around her shoulders and kept her makeup natural.
