Katie Holmes looked fall chic as she ran errands in Manhattan on Monday. 

The 41-year-old actress hopped out of an SUV in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City showing off her gorgeous mane of brunette locks.

Katie nailed a double denim look, wearing a chambray shirt tucked into girlfriend jeans.

Adding a pop of color to the look Katie wore a pair of yellow Bottega Veneta padded sandals. 

The outing came after Katie’s Vogue Australia cover was unveiled over the weekend.

With a new romance flourishing with younger heartthrob chef Emilio Vitolo, 33, Katie spoke about embracing the power of ‘new beginnings’ for the cover piece. 

However, she did not mention her new relationship with Emilio, whom she has been seen out and about with in New York City.

She did let the readers in on her family time with her parents and her 14-year-old daughter Suri whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Katie was born in Toledo and brought up there with four siblings by her lawyer father Martin and housewife mother Kathleen.

‘Seeing my family in Ohio after months of FaceTime calls felt like Christmas morning. My mom’s eyes were brighter, my dad’s hands even stronger and our hugs much tighter,’ the leggy sensation said.

‘Taking time in Washington Square Park with a friend whose little child was taking his first steps brought me back to when my own child began to walk. I felt nostalgic and in awe of the power of time and the continuation of life.’

While in lockdown she took refuge in ‘Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be. To listen. To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift.’

The All We Had director also shared a few books and movies she enjoyed in self-isolation, rattling off a list of highbrow names.

‘During this time, I revisited books that I value, including, Between The World And Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Just Kids by Patti Smith and Play It As It Lays by Joan Didion.’

Katie added: ‘I enjoyed the time to escape into films by Ingmar Bergman, Agnes Varda, Jacques Demy and John Cassavetes.’

The Dawson’s Creek alumna revealed: ‘The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg brought such a sense of joy to the lockdown experience and watching the documentary about Jacques Demy and seeing the impact he brought to so many reminded me of the power of storytelling and the value of putting joy into the world.’

After her divorce from celebrity Scientologist Tom, Katie spent years dating Jamie Foxx, whom she split from in 2019.
