Katie Holmes was spotted taking a solo stroll through the streets of New York City on Monday afternoon.
The Dawson’s Creek actress was notably unaccompanied by her boyfriend Emilio Vitolo, Jr while stepping out; the two are often seen spending time with each other during shared walks.
This comes after the 42-year-old beauty revealed she had received a dozen red roses from the beau on Valentine’s Day.

The 42-year-old actress was dressed in a long black overcoat that kept her torso warm amid the freezing temperatures; she paired her top with a matching set of leather shoes.
The Batman Begins actress added a bit of contrast to her outfit with a bright magenta crew neck sweater and a pair of loose-fitting blue jeans.
Holmes also carried a sizable pink tote bag and wore a green facial covering to keep herself protected against any potential exposure to COVID-19.

Although her beau was absent during her walk, the actress appeared to be staying in close contact with him around the Valentine’s Day period.
After returning home from her stroll, Holmes posted a photo of a lovely bouquet to her Instagram account.
The Thank You For Smoking actress also added a small message in the snap’s caption, writing, ‘Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!!’
She also tagged her boyfriend in the photo; it was unclear if he had sent the flowers.

Holmes and Vitolo Jr were initially spotted together in September and were seen spending time together at various locations in New York City over the following months.
The notoriously private actress did not go Instagram official with her new boyfriend until December 18.
Before beginning her relationship with the 33-year-old chef, the actress was in a high-profile marriage with Tom Cruise.
Their union lasted from 2006 until 2012 and the former couple shares a daughter named Suri, aged 14.
Holmes was also in a relationship with actor Jamie Foxx from 2013 until 2019.

Shortly after the couple went Instagram official, an insider spoke to People and mentioned how the relationship has been beneficial to the restaurateur’s mental well-being.
‘Emilio has had a lot of stress this year because of the shutdowns that have affected the restaurant business. Katie is very supportive. Their relationship is cheering him up,’ the source noted.
The insider also intimated that the couple’s circumstances may change after the end of the global pandemic but that they are choosing to have fun with each other and focus on the moment.
‘When things return to a more normal and Katie is working again, they will figure it out.’ The source added, ‘For now, they enjoy all their time together in New York City.’
