Katie Price screams as a RAT jumps out of her mobility scooter and launches across the kitchen

Katie Price was seen screaming in horror after a huge rat jumped out of her mobility scooter in her latest YouTube offering shared on Friday.

The former glamour model, 42, looked startled as she discovered the rodent had hidden under one of her rear wheels after first scuttling under a sofa.

In the chaotic video the mum-of-five was assisted by her daughter Princess, 13, and beau Carl, 31, to try and find the creature, with all of them jumping and shouting.

Terrified: Katie Price was seen screaming in horror after a huge rat jumped out of her mobility scooter in her latest YouTube video shared on Friday

At first the group thought the uninvited guest was under a pink sofa, with one person lifting the furniture and causing the rat to run under a pile of clothes.

After this hiding place Katie tried looking under a her grey settees which again caused the rat to run – and hide under her scooter.

She was then seen riding the scooter as Princess tried to explain her theory that the rat was inside the wheel arch.

Looking very concerned at the prospect, Katie then jumped off her ride and started tilting the scooter as everyone else waited patiently to see if the rodent was there.

Within seconds the rat appeared from under a rear wheel cover and launched out of the chair and across the kitchen.

However it was not immediately clear where the creature had hidden next, causing everyone in the room to squeal and look concerned.

Katie, who was wearing a tie-dye tracksuit, was then seen with her hands in her hair, looking distressed at the thought of the rodent still roaming around in her kitchen.

Explaining what was going on in the clip in her upload’s caption, Katie said that it was a rat her cat Hagrid had found and brought home.

She wrote: ‘I want to clarify that when the cameras were off the rat managed to run out the back door safely and unharmed.

‘Since then we have cleaned and scrubbed the whole house from top to bottom. This is a first for Hagrid bringing a rat, and hopefully the last!’

Katie moved into her new £4,250 per month six-bedroom Surrey home earlier this year after leaving her infamous ‘mucky mansion’ behind.

However on Thursday it was reported that there’s already trouble in paradise as it’s been reported that her rented abode has been overrun with rats.

Katie was said to be ‘terrified’ as her rodent situation threatens to make her home ‘unlivable’, with the star thought to be in a quandary over what to do.

A source told The Sun: ‘There are hundreds of them trying to get into the house from outside – everyone thinks they’ve come over from a nearby garden centre which has rat problems, and have been attracted by the bins.

‘It’s horrible and Katie’s terrified – the cat keeps bringing them in and it causes chaos. She’s complained to the landlord and hopefully they’ll sort it out.’

MailOnline have contacted Katie’s representatives for further comment.

The mother-of-five relocated from her former home in West Sussex nicknamed the ‘mucky mansion’ before the country went into lockdown in March.

The former Loose Women star’s rented home is just 10 minutes from her ex-husband Peter Andre, 47, whom she shares children Junior, 13, and Princess, 13, with.

Katie’s house woes comes just days after it was reported her £2million ‘mucky mansion’ was suffering from sewage water build-up on the side of the property a year after the septic tank first started to leak.

Katie, who bought the sprawling country house back in 2014, recently vowed to renovate and sell the house, with doctors demanding she doesn’t return for the sake of her mental health.

In new images, work appeared to grind to a halt as the home’s exterior was strewn with rubbish and broken kitchen appliances by a fly-tipper, while the swimming pool was left neglected.

Over the past year, the TV star’s abode stood decrepit and unkempt with abandoned facilities amid her recent financial woes.

Renovations kicked off in June 2019, but the influencer was left devastated when the mucky mansion was broken into and destroyed by intruders over a year later.

Not great: ‘It’s horrible and Katie’s terrified – the cat keeps bringing them in and it causes chaos. She’s complained to the landlord and hopefully they’ll sort it out.

An insider told The Sun at the time: ‘Katie is devastated. She is fearful that whoever has done this has a vendetta against her and even thinks it could be linked to her standing up against social media bullying trolls.

‘This crime was committed to cause as much impact and personal upset as possible to Katie,’ continued the source.

The publication also claimed that the burglars raided boxes of her personal belongings, which had been stored in her loft, and left her possessions strewn across the floor.

All of the damage is said to have been discovered by a neighbour, who was in the midst of conducting a routine sweep of the home and its surrounding 12 acres.

In October, the media personality vowed to never return to her mucky mansion as it is filled with ‘bad memories’.

The TV star spoke candidly with The Mirror about her decision, saying she was advised to move by doctors who worked with her at The Priory, as they believe it would be better for her mental health.

Admitting she still has the house while actively looking to move, Katie explained: ‘I’ve moved in with him, the kids will stay at his, but his house is the show home, it’s immaculate, but mine is more like the Jungle Book.

‘The doctors from The Priory have said that my house, mentally, is a place I can’t ever go back to because there’s too many memories.

‘Even just walking up the driveway drives me mad, and when I’m in I want to get out of there. I can’t explain it in my head and it’s just so sad what’s happened to my house.’

Katie proclaimed that she was ‘done’ with the house, and even if she could do it up and make it a nice place to live again she admitted she wasn’t ready mentally to do so.
