Katy Perry closes out Celebrating America livestreamed concert with epic Firework rendition

Katy Perry, John Legend, Demi Lovato, and Bruce Springsteen were among the many stars welcoming the Biden administration to the White House with the inauguration concert, Celebrating America.

Perry, 36, closed out the star-studded spectacle with a majestic rendition of her hit track Firework before the Washington Monument.

A dazzling display of red, white, and blue fireworks surrounded the obelisk as Perry sang the track, clad in a caped, patriotic dress.

As Perry sang, President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and her husband Doug Emhoff watched on.

John Legend sang the empowering track Feeling Good before the Washington Monument.

‘The last few weeks, and the last few years, we’ve witnessed deep divisions and a troubling rancor in our land. But tonight we ponder the United States of America. The practice of our democracy, the foundations of our republic, the integrity of our constitution, the hope and dreams we all share for a more perfect union,’ he began.

Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States on Wednesday, succeeding President Donald Trump.

Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris, made history becoming not just the first female Vice President, but also the first Black and South Asian woman to hold the office.
