Katy Perry gives back to the less fortunate as she hands cash to panhandler during drive through LA

Now more than ever people are struggling financially.  

And Katy Perry is doing her best to help those in need.   

The pop star, 35, was seen giving cash to a panhandler on the side of the road in Los Angeles on Friday.  

Katy wore her face mask as she handed the bills to the man, before giving him the thumb’s up. 

After the touching gesture, Katy was seen outside her car in a stylish maternity dress and hippie chic coat.

She wore a tan turban over her blonde locks, black sunglasses, and a comfortable pair of woven sandals. 

Face mask off, the pop star was stunning with a touch of makeup accentuating her naturally radiant complexion.   

Though her dress fell loose, Katy’s baby bump was still visible. 

Katy is expecting her first child – a baby girl – with her fiance Orlando Bloom, whom she began dating in 2016.

As happy as things are in her personal life, Katy has been open about the struggles she has facing during the pandemic.   

Earlier this month, Katy revealed on Twitter she had been battling ‘waves of depression’ as she copes with the ongoing health crisis afflicting the world. 

‘Sometimes I don’t know what’s worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm,’ the pop star tweeted.

Katy has been candid with fans about her struggles with mental health, and recently admitted she once struggled to get out of bed.

‘In the past, I had been able to overcome it, but this time something happened that made me fall down too many flights of stairs. I had to really go on a mental health journey,’ she told the January edition of Vogue India.

She also said she and her fiance have gone on a ‘spiritual journey’ together, and bring out the best in each other. 

‘Orlando is like a sage,’ she said. ‘When we first met, he said we would pull the poison out of each other, and we really do. It’s exhausting, but we really hold each other accountable. 

‘I’ve never had a partner who was willing to go on an emotional and spiritual journey like Orlando. It’s challenging, because you’re facing all the things you don’t like about yourself. It’s like a never-ending cleanse.’
