Katy Perry posted a duo of images to her Instagram account on Sunday afternoon.

The 36-year-old hitmaker was pictured giving two of her best looks to the camera while showing off part of an eye-catching outfit.

The songstress’ post comes just hours before the premiere of American Idol’s newest episode, where the judges will narrow down the list of contestants to the top 16.

In the shots, Perry was seen wearing a leopard print bra that left little to the imagination of her 115 million followers.

She paired her top with an eye-catching gold chain that featured a sizable cross pendant.

The California Girls singer’s luscious brunette hair parted just above her left eyebrow and draped downward onto her right shoulder and backside in the shot.

In the post’s caption, the songwriter expressed that she would be ‘roaring into the top 16’ during Sunday’s episode of American Idol, during which she is set to serve as a judge alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

The three singers were brought in at the start of the singing competition show’s 16th season, which was the first to air after the series’ brief cancellation.

The 15th run of episodes was greatly affected by the global pandemic’s onset, with principal photography being suspended after the naming of the top 21 contestants.

Shooting did not pick up again until last April, when the judges and singers began filming their respective parts from their own homes.

After a difficult adjustment process to the new state of production, the show’s crew managed to hold it together until the end of the season, when Samantha Diaz, also known as Just Sam, took home the grand prize.

Filming on the current run of episodes began in mid-2020, with several COVID-19 safety protocols being put in place for the judges, contestants and crew.

Live virtual auditions were used in place of wide in-person tryouts for the first time in the show’s history.

Perry, Richie and Bryan were then brought in to judge individual competitors, and the physical rounds were only held in three Southern California locations.

The current season of American Idol is currently set to run until the airing of its finale, which will tentatively be shown in May.
