A security guard for Kodak Black is in serious condition after being shot in the leg in the parking lot of a McDonald’s in Florida.

The gunfire rang out around three in the morning on Monday in Tallahassee not long after the rapper performed at Cultur3 Fest Featuring Kodak Black + Friends over the weekend, WCTV reported.

Black was not injured during the shooting.

The 23-year-old and his crew were followed by several people in vehicles when they left the venue, and at one point tried to cut them off, according to a police account told to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Black’s entourage then drove to the McDonald’s near the Tally Strip where they blocked the entrance to the parking lot with one of their cars as the rapper went inside to get his food.

Eventually, the people who were trailing Black pulled up to the fast-food establishment and one of the passengers opened fire.

The rapper’s security guard was hit once in the leg during the confrontation. Making things worse: the bullet hit his femoral artery, which upgraded him to serious condition.

Black (legal name Bill Kahan Kapri) and the victim were put into an armored vehicle and driven to a local hospital, according to reports.

Not long after, Kodak’s associate underwent surgery. So far there’s no official word on his updated status.

The Tunnel Vision star’s career has been a mix of mainstream success, public controversies and legal issues.

His troubles culminated in 2019 when the Florida native was arrested for weapons possession and was sentenced to almost four years in federal prison. While incarcerated, he released his third studio album, Bill Israel (2020).

Former President Donald Trump would end up commuting his 46-month prison sentence in early 2020 for making a false statement to buy a firearm. But he still faces charges of criminal sexual assault in Florence, South Carolina, which prosecutors are looking to aggressively pursue.

Black was engaged to fellow rapper Mellow Rackz in February. Not long after the pair had each other’s names tattooed on their faces.
