Kyle Sandilands revealed he wants to have children during a live discussion on Friday’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

After interviewing Junior MasterChef contestants, Carter and Phenix, the 49-year-old radio host joked about adopting the pair.

Kyle tasted the sticky chicken wings Phenix created and said: ‘I’ve just eaten chicken wings and from a man who’s eaten a lot of things in his life, that’s absolutely lovely, I can’t believe it.’

‘So, you do have parents? You aren’t up for adoption? I’d love to adopt a child that can cook food all day everyday. That’s what I’m after,’ he joked.

Phenix responded: ‘I do [have parents]. I’m absolutely not [up for adoption].’

‘I’ve still got a lot to learn actually so having my dad as a chef, I’m really grateful for. I’m not going to go anywhere,’ she said.

Kyle and his co-host Jackie O Henderson then tasted the Bueno cheesecake Carter made.

‘Carter do you have parents or are you up for adoption?,’ Kyle asked.

The young chef also told the radio host he did have parents and wasn’t looking for a new home.

In May, Kyle revealed his plans to ‘settle down and have children’ one day during an interview on Nine’s 60 minutes.

‘Of course I want to [settle down and have kids], I’m the kid that was thrown into the gutter at 15. I’m always looking for someone to love me back,’ he said.

‘I’ve got a lot to give but, I want it back. Probably even more than I want to give,’ Kyle added.
