Laura Dern recently made her return to the Jurassic Park franchise when she filmed the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion last year.

But the five-time Golden Globe winner is currently enjoying some quality family time at home, between projects.

She went effortlessly chic Wednesday in a grey wool overcoat, as she held hands with daughter Jaya during a walk through their upscale Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The 53-year-old layered the coat over a black and grey striped sweater with flared jeans and a pair of blue and white sneakers.

They took precautions against COVID-19 in white face masks, as Jaya, 16, kept her hand in her mom’s coat pocket. 

Dern also shares son Ellery, 19, with ex-husband Ben Harper, 51, to whom she was married from 2005 to 2013.

She recently told Forbes of how she’s weathering the pandemic with her family: ‘The pandemic has certainly been a time for us all to learn how to make our own health, both physical and mental, a priority.

The Marriage Story actress added: ‘I greatly look forward to getting back to work. I pray that we find more healing in this time.

‘And in addition to so much focus on a vaccine, I hope we can immediately put more focus on any successful existing medications or potential antiviral drugs that can help support and protect people from COVID.’

She also told People that she’s taking the pandemic very seriously, frequently getting tested with her family, so they can visit and care for her father Bruce Dern, 84, and mother Diane Ladd, 85.

Dern explained: ‘I’ve had friends who are on ventilators, who pulled through. I’ve known people of all ages who’ve been very sick. And we had one beautiful friend and artist who, who lost his life to it. So we certainly take it very seriously as, I pray at this point, everyone globally does.’
