Lauren Goodger shares the moment she surprised Charles Drury with pregnancy news

Lauren Goodger has shared the moment she told her boyfriend Charles Drury she was expecting their baby.

The former TOWIE star, 34, announced the excting news that she is three-months pregnant earlier this week, and on Wednesday she shared another precious moment with her Instagram fans.

Posting a snap of a pregnancy test, Lauren revealed she wrote ‘Hi Daddy’ on the positive test to surprise her slumbering beau, 23, when he woke up. 

The snap shows Charles, who Lauren affectionately calls Charlie, fast asleep while Lauren brandishes the personalised pregnancy test. 

Revealing she was just ‘one or two weeks pregnant’ at the time, Lauren captioned the photo: ‘When I did my first pregnancy test at home and surprised Charlie.’

‘He didn’t believe it in happy shock and carried it around all day I was only 1 or 2 weeks aww tell me your stories how you knew you was preg.’

Lauren announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Charles on Monday, three months after confirming their relationship, and revealed she will welcome the couple’s first baby in July. 

Earlier on Wednesday Lauren posted a sweet pregnancy quote, leading to her pal Lauryn Goodman to offer her baby tips.

Lauren shared a black-and-white photo of a baby bump with the quote: ‘Being pregnant means every day ius another day closer to meeting the other love of my life’ signed by an anonymous person.

She captioned it with: ‘Still a long way to go but everyday brings me closer to you. I can’t wait to be a mummy … Thank you everyone for your love support and beautiful messages #pregnancy #babybump #meanttobe.’ 

To which Lauren’s close friend Lauryn, 30, who welcomed her first child and son Junior with former flame and England footballer, Kyle Walker, in April, offered some baby tips.

Lauryn told the reality star to get plenty of rest and sleep ahead of giving birth as she sweetly insisted that she has her back.

She wrote: ‘Lau SLEEEEEEEEEEEEP AS MUCH AS YOU CAN [crying laughing face emojis] love you [heart emoji] best journey! Enjoy every second.’

To which Lauren replied with: ‘Hahaha yes I am trying and then Charlie wants me up [crying laughing emoji] god bless you I don’t tihnk you’ve slept for 7 months at all… send me all the tips and advice my way lol xxxx.’

With Lauryn joking: ‘7? 9! Hahahaha and before that when he was kicking the c**p out of me!!! Fml… oh I got you don’t you worry about it [heart emoji] you’ll be a natural anyway [kiss emoji] 

‘Haha tell Charlie he can be up with the baby when he/she comes! Until then you get that rest in! (Before the good old back pain comes).’

Lauren ended their correspondence with: ‘9!!! Jesus time is flying! He be 19 soon [crying laughing emoji] yes I will be don’t you worry [heart emoji].’

The former TOWIE star’s baby daddy and boyfriend of three months Charles also sweetly commented on the post.

He wrote: ‘Won’t be long, love you both more than you’ll ever know [baby and heart emoji].’

It comes after a pregnant Lauren appeared to be yearning for her svelte physique from when she lost four stone back in 2015. 

The stunner famously shed the amazing amount of weight over six months leading to the release of her wildly successful workout DVD back in December 2015, and on Tuesday she was looking back on the time fondly. 

Despite her changing shape, she was looking back at Instagram memories as she posted a behind-the-scenes shoot from her DVD promo in 2016. 

In 2018, celebrity workout DVDs came under fire when it was revealed that Scarlett Moffatt’s ‘miracle’ weight loss had in fact been the horror result of taking weight loss pills given to her by trainers at a boot camp in Switzerland.

Trainer David Souter said of Lauren: ‘I felt quite sorry for her when I met her. She’d been forcing herself to eat the same thing every day — chicken, broccoli and rice…

‘That diet must’ve made her feel like she was in prison. And she trained hard so she should have been able to eat a decent amount between sessions.’ 

Lauren went on to continue yo-yo dieting after the success of her DVD, yet she recently revealed lockdown romps were the reason she had lost weight since meeting Charles – although the romps have now resulted in baby joy. 

She admitted her new boyfriend was initially sceptical after she told him her pregnancy test had returned a positive result.  Lauren said of her happy news: ‘It’s exciting and we’re really happy. It’s difficult, but we’ve just got through it.’ 

Recalling the moment she discovered, Lauren explained: ‘I was in bed not well with a cold and I was meant to come on that day and I’m always quite regular.

‘We went and bought a test from a bargain shop and I did it – I couldn’t believe it! I rang him and he was like: “You’re lying, you’re joking.” He didn’t believe the test! I did a digital one as well and he walked around with it in his bag for about three days.’ 

The happy news comes after Lauren moved Charles, whose former girlfriends include retired glamour model Katie Price, 42, into her Essex home in late October within weeks of meeting him. 

A source told The Sun: ‘Charles has moved into her Essex home and they’re really loved up. She’s head over heels for him – friends can’t believe how fast she’s fallen for him. Everyone’s hoping she’s finally found The One.’  

Last month, Lauren suggested that she wanted ‘marriage and family’ with her current boyfriend after years of disappointment.
