Lindsay Lohan confirms she WILL return for The Masked Singer next year

Lindsay Lohan all but confirms she WILL return for The Masked Singer next year – as fellow judge Dave Hughes reveals her ‘secret DMs’

She was forced to step down from the panel of The Masked Singer in March, after COVID-19 border closures meant she was stuck in LA.

But on Thursday, Lindsay Lohan assured her fellow judge Dave Hughes that she’ll definitely be returning for next year’s season of the celebrity guessing game.

Comedian Dave, 49, revealed on his Hughesy & Ed radio show that he’d asked the Mean Girls actress, 34, via Instagram DMs if she was coming back in 2021.

‘I said to her, “Thanks for the follow… you coming back to Masked Singer?”‘ he said with a laugh.

The Freaky Friday star seemed enthusiastic with her response, replying to Hughesy: ‘I think so!!!! I hope so!!!! How’s it going over there?’

Following Dave’s revelation, his co-host Ed Kavalee noted: ‘That’s confirmed now, because you’re going to look bad if she doesn’t!’

After getting stuck in America due to travel restrictions, Lindsay was replaced on the show by comedian Urzila Carlson this year.

In addition to Urzila and Hughesy, The Masked Singer’s judging panel comprises singer Dannii Minogue, 48, and radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 45.

On Thursday, Channel 10 confirmed there would be a new season in 2021 with the same line-up as this year – but network boss Beverly McGarvey said there was definitely ‘wiggle room’ for Lindsay to come back in some capacity.

‘We love all the talent that we had on this year and we love Lindsay,’ Ms McGarvey, the chief content officer and EVP of ViacomCBS Australia, told news.com.au.

‘Our feeling at this point is that it feels fairly ambitious to think our borders are going to be open anytime soon,’ she added.

‘Obviously we would love to have all our internationals back once we can, but I just don’t know when that’s going to be.’
