Lucy Hale keeps it casual in black and grey look as she takes dog Elvis for a hike in Studio City

Lucy Hale recently celebrated the holidays in epic fashion, ringing in the new year from Times Square.

And the Pretty Little Liars star has since gotten back into her daily routine, after returning home in Los Angeles.

She kept it casual Monday in a black and grey athleisure look, as she stepped out to take her dog Elvis for a hike through Fryman Canyon in Studio City, California.

The 31-year-old sported a cropped charcoal t-shirt with a pair of skintight black leggings, accentuated her toned legs.

She finished the look with a pair of gold-framed Ray-Ban sunglasses, some boho chic necklaces and hot pink APL trainers, as she stayed safe in a black face mask.

Hale walked her Maltipoo on a retractable leash, as he put on an adorable display with a turquoise bandana wrapped around his neck.

She recently appeared in the trailer for her upcoming film Son Of The South, which premieres in February, executive produced by Spike Lee and based on Bob Zellner’s 2008 autobiography The Wrong Side of Murder Creek.

It comes after she hosted Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square, alongside Billy Porter and 16-time host Ryan Seacrest.

She took to Instagram after the televised festivities, writing: ‘Got to close out 2020 surrounded by some great humans, in heels, sparkly masks , & in an empty Times Square. We celebrated frontline workers, nurses, doctors, teachers, police officers who were the real MVPs of the year. 

‘Stood in awe of JLo and chugged atleast 5 La Colombe Oat draft lattes. Started 2021 surrounded by McNuggets & fries. Thank you to all who made it safely possible for us to come back this year ! Happy freakin new year everyone.’

Hale shared some behind-the-scenes photos in her party look, a white pantsuit trimmed in red, over a red sequined bra, with a fuzzy red overcoat and silver metallic stilettos.

She took precautions against COVID-19 in a matching red face mask, as the usually packed crowd watching the ball drop was limited to VIP guests, 40 local frontline workers and their families. 

The Katy Keene actress had a couple wardrobe changes throughout the evening, sporting a black jeweled minidress, as well as one in white. 

It was Hale’s second time co-hosting the event with Seacrest, after filling in for Jenny McCarthy last year.
