Luke Cook reflects on his success in Hollywood as he scores a part in the hit series Dynasty

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Luke Cook is one of the most humble actors around. 

Reflecting on his success in Hollywood, the 34-year-old Australian star has admitted that it didn’t happen overnight. 

In fact Luke, who has just scored a role in the hit show Dynasty, said he’s ‘glad he got to struggle for a long time’.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘I’m glad I got to struggle for a long time’: Speaking to Daily Mail Australia this week, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Luke Cook reflected on his success in Hollywood 

‘I feel like I’m so glad I got to struggle for a long time,’ Luke told Daily Mail Australia. 

‘A lot of young actors who we know and love, book roles in their first few auditions and they never get to struggle… the child stars… they never got rejected.

 ‘I’m so glad I got turned down and rejected… you develop a thick skin and when you do work, you’re grateful for it.’

Luke most recently appeared in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which was cancelled by streaming giant Netflix last year. 

The final season, season four, premiered in December. 

On the hit show, Luke played the role of Lucifer Morningstar.

He said that he was about to quit acting before landing the role. 

‘I was just at the end of my tether with auditioning,’ he explained.  

‘I had auditioned so much and hadn’t booked a thing and then I got that… it made my life better. I woke up one morning and I had 100,000 followers and now I have one million.’ 

Luke the show was cancelled when two of his other roles were canned ‘within a week of each other.’

‘I was sad, as I knew the show-runner had another season he wanted to do and I don’t think we really got to wrap up any one story besides Nick and Sabrina,’ he said.

‘(But) It didn’t upset me because there’s plenty to be happy about in life.’ 

As luck would have it, Luke has just landed a new role in the hit CW show Dynasty and is currently in the US filming the new season. 

He’s playing an Australian photographer and the ex-boyfriend of Kirby, played by Australian actress Maddison Brown.

‘I’m an Aussie photographer coming in to ruin lives,’ Luke told Daily Mail Australia. 

‘I’m an ex-boyfriend of Kirby… I’m here to ruin her relationship. I started shooting last week and I’m going all the way through to April. 

‘I’m praying it’s a little bit longer. I know they have some big plans for me while I’m here. It’s just a matter of if I stay on, that’s the next question.’

Luke recently started working with Saintly Hard Seltzer, an alcoholic sparkling water brand, and often shares hilarious videos of himself promoting the brand.  

Talking about his collaboration with the brand, he said: ‘They allowed me to take risks and make funny stuff in order to advertise their brand.’

He added: ‘Which is delicious and good stuff. It’s low carb, low calories, always good.’
