Mads Mikkelsen attended the premiere of his new film Another Round (Druk) during the 15th Rome Film Festival in Italy on Tuesday evening.

The Danish actor, 54, was in good company as he took to the red carpet with his stunning wife of 20 years, Hanne Jacobsen, 59. 

Putting on a typically dapper display, the Hannibal star teamed a sleek grey suit with a crisp white shirt and a textured black tie.

The thespian kept up his suave appearance in the footwear department as he rounded off his look with patent brogues.

Actress Hanne looked equally sophisticated in a cream one-shoulder blouse and a matching maxi skirt as she posed for the cameras alongside her handsome partner.

The mother-of-two added a pop of colour to her neutral-toned outfit by accessorising with a black and grey waist belt and boosting her frame in vibrant block heels. 

The couple tied the knot in 2000 following a 13-year relationship and share children Viola, 28, and Carl, 23.

In Another Round, high school teacher Martin (Mads) and his three colleagues attempt to lead their normal lives while maintaining a constant level of alcohol in their blood.

The 15th Rome Film Festival, founded in 2006, is held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and other venues throughout the city taking place from October 15 until October 25. 

Organised by Fondazione Cinema per Roma, the event hosts screenings, exhibitions, conferences, panels and celebrity appearances. 

Mads is best known for starring in blockbusters such as the Hannibal, The Hunt, Doctor Strange and Rogue One.

The screen star previously admitted he prefers playing the lead role in films in an interview with The Independent

Mads said: ‘I prefer being the lead. In general, there’s a process that is inspiring. 

‘The film is serving you, it comes to you, it serves your story more than a character serving the film.

‘There’s a difference in what you can get away with. The camera comes to you as the main character. That’s not often the case as a supporting one.’
