Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson have taken a major step forward in their relationship by getting matching tattoos.

The controversial couple, both 32, got identical forearm tattoos on the Gold Coast just days after filming their final vows in Sydney in early December.

‘They got the tatts after the final vows when they went home to visit Bryce’s parents for Christmas,’ a close friend told Daily Mail Australia.

The tattoos feature a cross enclosed in a diamond shape, with two lengths of string coming from the bottom to form a kite.

Bryce also has a tattoo of headphones to represent his radio career, but he’s had that for almost a decade.

The couple showed off their new ink during Wednesday night’s dinner party reunion, which was filmed in Sydney in February.

She added in a second post: ‘My heart is full. I love this man so much and we truly make each other happy every single day.

‘While it might be hard for some to believe, it is my decision, my life and my choice. And I choose him. He is my partner, my lover and the man that I have fallen head over heels for.

‘Our love story is what I asked for; an all consuming and unconditional love. And I have found that with Bryce.’

Bryce echoed Melissa’s feelings in his own Instagram post, writing: ‘I came into the MAFS experiment for one sole purpose, knowing there was a chance it may not work out the way I wanted.

‘Wanting to find love and someone to share my life with, I leave MAFS with a full heart and the most genuine, loving, and supportive woman I’ve ever met. Words can’t describe how much I have fallen in love with Melissa’.

The pair decided stay together at their final vows, despite the many ups and downs their relationship had experienced throughout the experiment.
