MAFS: Patrick thought Belinda was going to give him a lap dance at their reception

Married At First Sight bride Belinda Vickers wooed her husband Patrick Dwyer with a ballet dance at their wedding reception on Sunday’s episode.

And Patrick, 27, admitted on Monday that he initially thought he was going to get a lap dance when his bride sat him down on a chair in the middle of the dance floor.

During a joint interview on Channel Nine’s Today Extra, he admitted: ‘When I first sat [down] I thought I was going to get a lap dance for a second.’

‘But my parents were there and I thought, “I hope this doesn’t go ahead,”‘ he added.

Patrick went on to say that Belinda’s performance was amazing to watch because she really ‘put herself out there’.

He said: ‘I thought it was amazing to watch. She’s put herself out there and showed me something so important to her and that was wonderful.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Belinda revealed the couple hadn’t bathed together since her husband awkwardly gave her a foot rub in the bath.

Patrick surprised his new bride with a bubble bath and worked up the courage to give her a foot massage on their wedding night.

While his seduction method didn’t go to plan, Belinda wasn’t put off either. 

‘I have had baths since but they’ve been alone. No more feet clapping!’ she joked.

Belinda and Patrick immediately hit it off after meeting at the altar.

Upon seeing his wife for the first time, the personal trainer exclaimed: ‘Holy moly guacamole.’

He later told producers he was immediately attracted to saleswoman Belinda. 

‘If I’m being absolutely honest, I think she’s one of the most beautiful girls I’ve seen. I can see she’s very kind, genuine, very warm, and has a great heart,’ he said.
