Malin Akerman added some flare to a laid back workout look with a baker boy cap while out in the trendy Los Feliz area.

The 42-year-old Chick Fight star was seen running errands as she made a quick stop at a local framing store to grab some newly framed pieces of hers.

The Swedish born beauty embraced a beautiful spring day in LA with a low hanging statement tank that said ‘what you sweat is what you get.’

Out and about: Malin Akerman, 42, adds a baker’s boy cap to a laid back workout look as she runs errands in the trendy Los Feliz neighborhood

The Watchmen actress leaned into a black color scheme with her look as she rocked black sneakers with a matching tank and hat.

She added some cheerful splashes of color to her ensemble in the form of blue tie dye leggings and a bright paint splotch face covering.

Malin appeared makeup free as she pulled out of the parking lot in her SUV, after lugging a decently large piece of art that was wrapped in protective paper.

Fiercely independent and driven when it comes to her career, she made the jump from acting to producing after finding herself desiring more control when it came to projects.

Raised in Canada as a competitive figure skater, Akerman found herself a bit disheartened at not getting a call to audition for I, Tonya only to find that Margot Robbie snagged the role because the film came from her producing entity.

This realization shifted gears in Malin’s mind. ‘That’s when it really hit. I realized that was what I needed to be doing. I needed to find great material and work it from the ground up,’ she told Observer

The list of films she has both starred in and produced this year include Chick Fight with Bella Thorne and Alec Baldwin, and Friendsgiving (her first producing project) with a stacked cast of ladies including Chelsea Peretti, Kat Dennings, and Aisha Tyler.

Akerman said that the pandemic had given her a lot of time for productivity which allowed her to adequately research stories she felt deserved to be told on screen, and find writers who could bring them to life.

Uncertain about making a jump to directing or writing in the future, she cited wanting to be hands on with raising her son Sebastian, six, as a deterrent from doing too much.

She shares her son with first husband Roberto Zincone (2007 – 2014) and has since married Atlantis star Jack Donnelly, 35.

‘I’m happy to come up with ideas or to work on material that’s pre-existing, but I don’t think you’ll ever see my name as a writer. But directing I could definitely see myself trying out,’ she shared.

She did however reveal that she does draw inspiration from her own life when it comes to her projects and also above all seeks to make art that empowers women.

‘I’m so tired of women being portrayed as catty and jealous in all these films. We need to start really looking at sticking together and being a powerful unit.’
