He’s been busy overseeing the building his dream home in Essex from scratch with wife Michelle Keegan.

And Mark Wright headed to a homeware store to pick out some tiles for the new property in Loughton on Thursday.

The former TOWIE star, 34, cut a casual figure in a black Nike tracksuit as he left the shop wearing his facemask.

Mark teamed his zip-up hoodie with matching tracksuit bottoms and white trainers during the trip out.

It comes after the presenter took to his Instagram story on Wednesday to share with fans an update on the construction of the new property.

He filmed the upstairs of the house as the builders worked on putting the roof in place and dividers in to mark out the different rooms.

Mark is in the process of building the lavish mansion from scratch after he and Michelle sold their original five-bedroom pile in rural Essex.

Speaking to fans during a Q&A earlier this month, Mark admitted progress was being made, but an official moving in date was still a long way off.

Responding to a fan who asked how the house was coming along, he wrote: ‘Coming along nicely thanks, but I just want to click my fingers and it be done.’

The TV personality also shared images from the skeletal build, suggesting its completion might not be for some time.

Asked by another fan when the house will be completed, he added: ‘Tomorrow hopefully. Wishful thinking.’

The couple recently shared a CGI image of the palatial home they’re planning to build revealing its huge windows and bright white exterior.

As well as boasting lots of large windows, the couple’s home features two smaller sections on the side of their home.

Showing just how much they’re planning on changing, Michelle and Mark shared a snap of their home taken back in 2019 when they decided to do the transformation.

They wrote: ‘Here’s the lovely house that we purchased back in 2019 vs what we are hoping to create.

‘It’s been a long process so far and still a long way to go but sooner or later we will have the house, we could have only ever dreamed of. #grateful

‘Thanks to @tidyworkstudio for creating the CGI image of our home, to help us see what we have chosen come to life. Great job.’

It was recently reported that the couple have sold their old home – bought in 2013 – with it being on the market for £1.78million last October.

Mark and Michelle purchased their new home for £1.3m in October last year and it was revealed in January that they would demolish the four bedroom farmhouse to create the sensationally lavish new house with ‘classical design’.
