The term appears to be a witty combination of the term ‘sassy’ and the swear word ‘a**hole’.

Fans were quick to Tweet their support for the word – with many vowing to use it themselves.

One amused person Tweeted: ‘Sasshole has successfully been added to my vocabulary’.

Another chimed in: ‘Another one to add to the ‘MAFS Dictionary’ for 2021: #Sasshole’.

Someone else watching at home added: ‘Webster’s Word of the Year 2021? Sasshole.’

However not everyone was so keen, with one fan finding the term pretty silly.

‘I was today years old when I discovered a sassy a**hole is called a sasshole… oh and I also learnt that anyone who comes up with that term is a f**king idiot,’ they wrote.

Others felt that it indicated that perhaps Bec is not the best match for her sweet and sensitive groom, AFL star Jake Edwards, 33.

‘Rebecca has told us several really important things she “won’t accept” less she is really career focused so quite controlling.

‘And the “sassy” “sasshole” tells you a lot – she is VERY defensive and has lots of walls up,’ one person wrote.

Another added:  ‘Why are they matching the sweet sensitive guy with the “sasshole”?’
