Married At FIrst Sight’s Alana Lister and Jason Engler ended their romance just weeks after they decided to commit to each other during the show’s final vows.

And now the 30-year-old school teacher has revealed that a video of Jason making fun of his bisexual co-star Liam Cooper was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

‘Well, obviously the controversy was something that ended our relationship, so it impacted me in the way that Jason and I are not together anymore,’ she told Yahoo.

In the two-minute clip, Jason called Liam a ‘full-blown homosexual’ – even though he has made it clear he is attracted to both women and men – and ridiculed him for ‘not going to the gym’.

The video in question was filmed and uploaded to Liam’s TV wife Georgia’s Instagram account in November as she, Jason and Johnny were catching up Brisbane.

Jason’s hurtful comments were made three days before Liam and Georgia filmed their final vows – which hadn’t yet aired on TV at the time Daily Mail Australia published the video – and all but confirmed the couple’s split.

The video began with Jason – who was shirtless, wearing two pairs of sunglasses and holding a glass of white wine – saying: ‘Cheers to everyone. Can I just say one thing right now?

‘He is not one hundred and ten per cent anymore… I wouldn’t give a s**t anymore, because we’re free and we’re going to run amok in Brisbane.’

Georgia was heard saying off camera: ‘Jason, tell them what you’re talking about.’

‘Can I say Georgia’s husband, a**, w**ker, I can’t remember what his name is – Liam – is 110 per cent and is a wanker and Georgia is better than him.’

‘He’s ugly, fat, and he is chubby,’ Jason continued.

‘I’m by the pool and just want to say Georgia’s husband is full-blown homosexual. He is ugly and chubby and doesn’t go to the gym.’

Jason later apologised for what he said in the video, after he was approached for comment.

‘I would like to sincerely apologise for my comments in regards to a fellow MAFS participant’s sexuality,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

‘After a few too many drinks I made some inappropriate remarks that I am ashamed of and greatly regret. I will learn from this and try to become a better person from this experience.’
