Cameron asked if he could ‘butt in’ with his version of events, but Samantha immediately shut him down.

‘Yes, we got intimate because it felt right… I told Sam that she was attractive, that she’s not the type of person I usually go for. I wanted to be honest,’ explained Cam.

He added: ‘Yes, there’s a connection. Emotional connection? No, not yet. That’s honesty.’

Talking under her breath, Samantha quietly labelled their public dinner party spat a ‘f**king nightmare’.

Samantha reiterated that Cameron’s decision to sleep with her without first forming an ’emotional connection’ felt like a ‘one-night stand’.

Cameron said that he’d hoped to attend the dinner party with Samantha, but she called him out and claimed otherwise.

‘You left me on the honeymoon and walked off, and ripped your microphone off and said, “Why am I matched with this girl? I want out of this experiment,” because of our first hard conversation,’ she began.

She added: ‘That to me is not commitment.’

Cameron then stood up and abruptly walked out, before calling the situation ‘so f**king painful’.

Later, Cam said Samantha was ‘not open to my thoughts’ and ‘doesn’t want to hear what I have to say’.

‘I’m so angry and upset. You can’t just take somebody being honest with you and blow it into this whole one-night stand scandal,’ he continued.

‘I feel defeated, honestly… I’m not perfect… The thing is, I can’t even tell my story. This is the problem that I’ve got. I’m not being heard by her at all.’

Becoming emotional, Cameron added: ‘F**k, like I’m done. I’m done, because it’s so draining.’

‘She doesn’t want to know what I have to say, she doesn’t want to understand where I’m coming from. Why would somebody then want to move forward in the relationship?’  he later said.

He added: ‘It’s pretty clear that the only option at the next commitment ceremony is to write “leave”.’
