Married At First Sight’s Jason Engler shows off what appears to be a love bite on his neck

Jason Engler showed off a suspicious-looking mark on Wednesday’s episode of Married At First Sight.

The 35-year-old groom had what appeared to be a love bite on the left side of his neck, just below his jawline.

Despite the telling mark, Jason revealed he had actually broken up with ‘wife’ Alana Lister prior to the show’s reunion dinner.

Alana, 30, explained that she was ready to break up with Jason at the final vows, but changed her mind after he told her he was in love with her.  

‘I really tried to make our relationship work. I put in a lot of effort. I really tried my hardest, I really liked Jason,’ she added. 

‘But maybe, I think, two weeks later, Jason and I had an argument, and he just kind of refused to talk about it, refused to acknowledge it.’

Alana revealed Jason then ‘dumped me via text message, which was really brutal’, and said she ‘deserved better’. 

‘I feel a little bit betrayed. I gave so much of myself, more than, like, a text message. We were married and I feel like you at least deserve a phone call,’ she added.

Meanwhile, Jason admitted he had regrets about how their relationship had ended, and wished it had ‘worked out’.

Ahead of the reunion dinner, Jason confessed he was worried about seeing Alana again, and said she’d probably have a few choice words for him. 

While it’s not known if Jason and Alana have since moved on with other people, he previously admitted to being a party boy before appearing on the show.
