Married At First Sight’s Samantha Harvey shuns fame

Married At First Sight star Samantha Harvey insists that she’s not pursuing a career as an influencer like many other Australian reality stars.

In a lengthy post to Instagram, the single mum said that she doesn’t enjoy social media and is focused on her real life instead of fame. 

‘I’m not consistent on Instagram nor do I post every waking hour or achievement on here,’ the 32-year-old wrote.

‘I don’t get paid a cent for a thing on my page and I have declined all offers to.’

She continued: ‘I hate being on my phone for too long, missing out on REAL life. I don’t think of my next post or how it’s going to look on my page and I wing it every damn day on here.

‘I just think, Imagine if you put every scrolling hour into your kids, partner, life or business.’

The property developer said that she’s focused on ‘building an empire’ for her family instead of using social media.

She also insisted that she went on Married At First Sight for genuine reasons instead of to try and find fame.

‘One thing I was missing in life was love which is why I went on a TV show, I didn’t go on there to become an influencer or Instagram famous,’ she said.

‘But one thing I will always be on here is real and honest.’

The blonde beauty finished her lengthy post by clarifying that she was speaking so that she wouldn’t be lumped in with other aspiring influencers.

‘I am only saying this because I often get put in that category of reality show/influencer and it’s so far from what I’m about,’ she said.

Samantha was one of the breakout stars of Married At First Sight’s eighth season.

She was paired with Cameron Dunne, who memorable ‘cheated’ on her with Coco Stedman.
