After a difficult few months, which saw her split from her husband Joe Jones, Melissa Leong has found comfort in her passion for food.

In a series of posts on Instagram on Tuesday, the 38-year-old MasterChef judged revealed she’d received a box of desserts from a bakery.

‘When you receive exactly what you need,’ she captioned a photo of a brown cardboard cake box.

In a second post on Instagram, Melissa shared a photo of the box’s contents, showing off the delicious looking cakes inside. 

‘Should I share this?’ she captioned the post, including a poll for her followers to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

Melissa also posted a photo of one of the half-eaten cakes on her main Instagram grid on Tuesday.

The food writer announced her split from her husband of almost four years on Instagram on December 20.

‘It has brought us such happiness to walk together, but the time has come for Joe and I to part ways and walk on, apart,’ she captioned a photo of them together on their wedding day. ⁣⁣

‘2020 will always be the year my life changed irrevocably. It’s never all good, or all bad, what prevails is the work we put into ourselves and the people we love,’ she began in the post. 

‘Thank you so very much to everyone to [sic] gave me the dignity of truly hearing and seeing me, for witnessing me take a leap of faith with kindness, support and patience.’ 

She said she was using the end of the year as a time to ‘reflect’ with the ‘intention for a better, brighter year ahead’.
