Recently Megan released a new album called Good News which features her new hit song Body that has inspired a handful of internet dances that have been tackled by the likes of J-Lo and even a Starbucks employee whose dance went viral.

She also used the album as an opportunity to address the Tory Lanez incident on her track Shots Fired, after he fired several gunshots at her feet while she tried to flee his vehicle after an argument in July.

Lanez tried to address the shooting on an Instagram live in October calling the accusations ‘falsified information.’

‘She knows what happened, I know what happened, and we know that what you’re saying and what the alleged things and the alleged accusations of my name are not true,’ he said.

She recorded the opening track the day after the shooting but decided to hold back and release it on the album.

‘I really had the song all ready but I was like, ‘You know what, let me just save it for the album’. Because it was ready to go the next day. I was like, you know what, let’s be calm. Let’s be patient. Let’s see how this plays out and let me just wait and put it on my album.’

‘When you know you’re right and you know you have nothing to prove, you really don’t have to give a response. But once you made it rap beef, you put it on wax, now I gotta say something,’ she said.
