Mel C lives up to her Spice Girls namesake in a sporty hoodie and running shorts

She has been isolating with her boyfriend Joe Marshall and their children. 

Yet Melanie C ensured the kids got some fresh air on Tuesday as she headed out with her child Scarlett, 11, as well as Joe’s daughter. 

The Spice Girl, 46, looked typically sporty on the outing as she soaked up the sunshine on a stroll around North London. 

Sporty Spice put her tanned and toned pins on display in a pair of running shorts and fresh white trainers. 

She teamed the garment with a Champions hoodie and toted a dessert bag, possibly picking up treats for the group to enjoy later.

Mel shares her daughter Scarlet with ex Thomas Starr, whilst boyfriend and manager Joe has two children aged 13 and 11 from a previous relationship. 

 

Prior to dating Joe, Mel was in a 10-year relationship with property manager Thomas, who she split from in 2012. 

The Wannabe hitmaker recently credited her daughter Scarlett for giving her the ‘strength’ to split from him, as she encouraged her to ‘stand up for myself more’.

In a new interview on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Mel said: ‘I make big decisions. Leaving her dad was hard but I wasn’t happy and she wasn’t happy, and it wasn’t the environment I wanted my child to grow up in.’  

On plucking up the courage to leave, she revealed: ‘Scarlett has made me braver. She has made me stand up for myself more. I couldn’t have done that without the strength that I got from her.’

The media personality – who maintains a relatively private personal life – previously insisted they were a ‘good match’ due to Thomas’ ‘very spontaneous’ character and her ‘organised’ personality.

Mel has been dating music executive Joe since December 2015, who she’s praised for ‘challenging, respecting and loving me’.
