Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards spotted looking cosy over a couple of champagnes on a luxury yacht

For weeks, Pip Edwards and Michael Clarke have been the subject of reconciliation rumours.  

And on Friday, the pair did little to dispel the talk as they enjoyed a day out on Sydney Harbour together. 

The former couple were spotted getting cosy and enjoying some champagnes on-board Anthony Bell’s luxury superyacht, Ghost II. 

The P.E. Nation fashion designer and former Australian cricketer were joined by the boat’s owner and their mutual friend, Anthony Bell.

At one stage, Michael proved that chivalry is not dead as he poured Pip, Anthony and himself another glass of champagne.

For the casual day out, Michael wore a pair of navy sports shorts, a black T-shirt and black sunglasses. 

Meanwhile, Pip wore chic a Fendy swimsuit, teamed with her very own-branded black shorts. 

Her hair was half-up half-down and she accessorised with some cat-eyed brown sunglasses.

The three pals then walked their way down to the sea deck and enjoyed a low-key chat and more drinks within a closer proximity to the water.

In between the group conversation, Michael was spotted looking directly into Pip’s eyes with a smile beaming from ear-to-ear. 

Their outing comes coincidently on the same day Pip firmly refused to answer questions about the pair’s romance during an interview with The Daily Telegraph.

The journalist who conducted the interview noted that Pip ‘wouldn’t be drawn on her relationship status’ – despite reports she and Michael, are back on following their split in January.

Pip, a prolific social media user herself, said: ‘In a fast-paced world that’s highly influenced by social media, the perception that success, glamour and lifestyle is what it’s all about actually breaks my heart.’

‘The want and need through the social landscape to chase this whirlwind success and fame is completely vacuous.’

This is not the first time the high-profile duo have sparked reconciliation rumours.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Pip and the Michael enjoyed a one-on-one meal together in Sydney in late March.

The publication reported that they were spotted ‘dining’ together by an onlooker at the Franca Brasserie in Potts Point on a Saturday night.

Longtime friends Pip and Michael started dating in late 2019, after the sportsman ended his marriage to his wife of seven years, Kyly Clarke (née Boldy).

Their romance didn’t become public knowledge, however, until after the Clarkes confirmed their separation in February last year.

Michael and Pip downplayed the rumours for months – with Pip even insisting they were ‘just friends’ – before finally going public in July while on holiday in Noosa. 

However, they broke up just six months later, in January. 

Neither Michael nor Pip has confirmed they are back on, but a source close to the pair said they were ‘close friends’.
