Michelle showed off her radiant complexion with a light dusting of make-up.

She captioned the snap:  ‘Forced her out on another muddy walk… fair to say she won’t be speaking to me tonight.’

This comes as Michelle revealed on Thursday’s Jonathan Ross Show that she wouldn’t rule out a return as medic Georgie in Our Gurl after ‘giving everything to the role’ to prove the people who ‘doubted me straight away’ wrong.

The actress also discussed her low-key Christmas plans with husband Mark Wright in the episode, and how she has worked on her own TV projects during lockdown.

Michelle described how taking on the leading role from Lacey Turner was first met with scepticism because she was just known on Coronation Street.

‘When I first got the role, people were doubting me straight away saying, “She can’t do that. It’s too stripped back,” she says.

‘That was a chance for me to do what I wanted to do as an actress. I felt very lucky I was able to do that. I would say that I gave everything to that role, definitely.’

Talking about leaving Our Girl and the possibility of returning to the role, Michelle says: ‘I will never say never with Our Girl. I absolutely loved that job. It was a fantastic role for me, it was really challenging, not only was it physically challenging, but I learnt so much on that job about the military and the medical side as well.

‘I really enjoyed it, but I felt it was the right time for me to move on, then. In future Georgie can come back, they have left the door open for Georgie.

Michelle continued: ‘I’ve done it for four seasons, I was going away from home quite a lot. I was away for four months at a time, the year before that I was away for eight months. I was so lucky [to travel].

‘It’s hard work and long days. Sometimes we’re working six day weeks and it is very challenging.’

Of working on her own TV projects Michelle says: ‘Yeah developing… first time I’ve ever done it. It was lockdown that pushed me to do it.

‘I’ve never had the confidence to do it before. We’re in talks at the minute with a production company and a writer. I just found it really exciting to be creative.

‘I’ve only been in front of the camera, this is totally different for me. I’ve enjoyed it, the process.’

Michelle will be spending Christmas with husband Mark after a busy few months filming for her Sky series Brassic.

Talking about her plans for her festive period, the actress says: ‘I like cooking, I enjoy cooking. He’s [Mark] not in the kitchen when I’m cooking. He’s getting there. He’s not that bad now. But I am definitely the cook of the household. I enjoy it.’

Michelle adds: ‘I want to say [we do] something really rock and roll but it’s not. I get brand new pjs on Christmas Eve. I wanted to say something cool but it’s not.’

Michelle also told Jonathan how filming Brassic has changed due to health and safety requirements amid the pandemic.

‘We started filming again in September. Obviously there’s a lot of restrictions [due to Covid],’ she says.

‘A lot of people wearing PPE. Covid tests every two days. They are a bit [horrible]. You get used to them after a bit.

‘You come into work, get your Covid test, go onto set. I got friction burns on my brain once when someone did it to me – really high up.’
