And as if a new addition to her discography weren’t enough to satiate fans, the singer-songwriter, 28, performed a stripped down version of the track Angels Like You.
Rocking a plunging black bodysuit, Cyrus writhed around on a glass floor hovering over her swimming pool as she belted out the emotionally-charged lyrics.

The passionate performance, as part of Miley’s Backyard Sessions for Apple Music, was just one of four made available on the streaming platform on the day of her album’s release.
Angels Like You, which happens to be the third on the track list, is the reigning power ballad on Plastic Hearts and Miley accurately portrayed the song’s moody vibes in her highly curated Apple Music performance.
Going with her ever present ‘rocker’ vibe, the former Disney Darling fastened two chokers around her neck and swiped a generous amount of deep blue eyeshadow across her lids.

Some of the new album’s lyrics appear to be inspired by Cyrus’ divorce from Liam Hemsworth.
Plastic Heart comes on the heels of 2017’s Younger Now, which saw Cyrus shed much of the electronics from 2013’s Bangerz and reconnect with her country roots.
Her previous studio albums: Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2013) all hit number one on the U.S. charts.
