Millie Bobby Brown gets into the festive spirit VERY early as she puts up Christmas tree in October

Her fellow Stranger Things stars reunited in Atlanta earlier this week to film the eight-episode fourth season of the hit Netflix show.

But there was no sign of Millie Bobby Brown, who was busy getting into the festive spirit after putting her Christmas tree up two months early – before Halloween has even passed on the calendar.

The Enola Holmes star, 16, got a jump on the December holiday by putting up twinkly fairy lights and a decorating the tree in her family home on Thursday.

Festive: Millie Bobby Brown has put up her Christmas tree in her family home controversially early this year, sharing a wintery snap with her fans before Halloween has even passed

She shared a wintery selfie with her 38.4million Instagram followers, giving her fans a sneak-peek at her already well-decorated home.

The white Christmas tree was adorned with huge silver and pink baubles, matching Millie’s comfortable pink tie-dye T-shirt.

The TV star styled her long hair in a messy bun in the picture, with two long strands of her golden locks falling down in front of her face.

She used the playful Instagram cherry filter for the selfie, which sees two small versions of the fruit appear on the user’s cheeks.

The child actress admitted to her family’s controversial decorating date, writing alongside the snap: ‘Not even Halloween yet and our tree is up.’

Most recently, Millie has starred in the new Netflix original film Enola Holmes where she plays the younger sister of super sleuth Sherlock Holmes.

But earlier this month, she revealed that the rejection she felt after losing out on a role she ‘really wanted’ on Game of Thrones nearly put an end to her acting career.

‘I was very disheartened by the rejection, which is something that I tell everyone. This industry is full of rejection 24/7,’ she explained to The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon.

She continued: ‘I feel like you do get a lot of noes before you get a yes. I was auditioning for commercials, for anything really.’

The actress, who has since got her big break on Stranger Things, said it was the ‘no’ from the casting director and producers of Game Of Thrones that made her rethink her acting pursuits.

She explained: ‘I then auditioned for Game Of Thrones and I got a “no” for that and that’s when I was like, “This is really difficult.”‘

‘I guess I really wanted that role,’ added Millie, though she never explicitly named which character she was so eager to play.

But fresh off the Game Of Thrones rejection, she landed an audition for an impending Netflix science-fiction series titled Montauk.

Montauk, which later became Stranger Things, definitely gave the TV star ‘that hope of doing [acting] all again’.

Production for season four of the binge-watching favourite officially resumed on September 28, after the coronavirus pandemic forced a shut-down on March 13 after only two months of filming.

On Tuesday, her Stranger Things co-stars Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, and Joe Keery were pictured filming the latest instalment of the sci-fi series in Atlanta.

But many of the returning cast members, including Millie and Caleb McLaughlin, were not spotted on set.

Season three of the hit show ended with Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) moving out of fictional Indiana town Hawkins for a new start.

She took her sons Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and Will (Noah Schnapp), as well as orphan Jane ‘Eleven’ Hopper (Millie Bobby Brown) with her on her travels.

Thanks to a February 14 teaser, audiences now know Hawkins Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is alive and being held captive by Russians at a Kamchatka labor camp.

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer told EW last year that the biggest difference from prior seasons, is season four ‘opens up in terms of allowing plot-lines into areas outside of Hawkins.’

The third season was reportedly the most-watched season to date with 64M member households streaming within the four weeks after July 4, 2019.

The latest season of the hit sci-fi drama is set to premier next year.
