Moment four brazen women raid clothes bank at Asda before stuffing bags with garments donated to the Salvation Army

This is the moment four brazen women were caught on camera taking clothes donated to the Salvation Army.
The women were filmed by a passerby as they appeared to raid one of the charity’s recycling bank in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Three of the women are seen walking away from the recycling bins after stuffing shopping bags full of donated clothes.
A fourth woman then comes into view with a suitcase packed with clothes in one hand and clutching more bags in the other.
The group were then seen walking across the car park of Asda in the Killingbeck area of the city.
The Salvation Army has described the incident as ‘saddening’, while West Yorkshire Police have launched an investigation.

Witness filmed the incident, which they say took place on Wednesday evening at 8.20pm.
After seeing the women with the bags of clothes, the person filming the incident tells them: ‘I am videoing. Got all your faces.’
The women totally ignore him and calmly leaves with the clothes as the man filming them yells insults.
The clothing bank is one of a number in the city run by the Salvation Army.
The charity’s recycling banks gradually reopened in June, after being used for fly tipping during the first lockdown.
A spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘While this is an isolated incident, we are saddened that anyone might find themselves in such a desperate situation that they would need to take items from one of our clothing banks.

‘Money raised from donations to these banks helps fund our work with some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, providing essentials like hot meals for rough sleepers, food parcels for struggling families and doorstep friendship for isolated older people.
‘This clothing bank in Killingbeck, like all our sites across the country is regularly emptied, including during lockdown and we continue to be so grateful to all those who kindly donate to us.’
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police told MailOnline: ‘At 8.41pm yesterday police were called to reports of four people stealing from charity clothes boxes at Asda Killingbeck, Leeds.
‘Officers did attend and searched the area, but the suspects had left.
‘Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or via the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log reference 1691 of 06/01.’
Earlier this year the local Salvation Army raised more than £5,000 towards its Christmas Toy Appeal.
The money will be used to support the scheme, which sees the charity collect donated presents and send them to those in need.
