An Australian mother has revealed her simple yet ‘genius’ method to pack an ‘adults’  version of a ‘Lunchables’ snack box.

Jennifer shared a picture of a container filled with snacks, including strawberries, grapes, biscuits, sliced ham, cheese and an egg.

She typically prepare a week’s worth of snacks every Sunday night where she would pack each ingredient in individual silicone muffin cups.

What is Lunchables?

Lunchables is a brand known for its ‘compartment-based’ snack products that usually contain cheese, crackers and processed meats.

‘Adult lunchables. Quick, easy to prepare and toss in the fridge so I can just grab and go on my way to work. I just used what we normally have in the house, so I didn’t have to buy anything special,’ the woman wrote on Facebook.

She said her snacks stay fresh all week, adding: ‘It’s good through to Friday’.

‘I usually do add the crackers day of or the night before though,’ she explained.

‘It’s so quick and easy, and you can always mix it up with whatever you have in your house. Can do mini wraps instead of crackers, different veggies and fruit that you have, or make a salad version.’

Jennifer said she prefers storing her snacks in the reusable silicone cupcake liners because they ‘don’t leak’ like the paper alternative.

‘They keep each item separate and fresher,’ she said.

Others said they always pack their snacks this way because it makes their day run smoother, especially if they have children (picture of another woman's snack pack using same method)

Her post has since been ‘liked’ more than 6,600 times, with hundreds of people describing her snack box as ‘smart’, ‘brilliant’ and a ‘good idea’.

‘That looks fantastic. Even though I work from home, I’m going to start doing this. May keep me from overeating since I’m with my fridge and pantry all the time,’ one woman wrote.

‘I do this all the time. We do this when we’re going on a trip to munch in the car – it’s fantastic,’ one mother said.

And another added: ‘I did the exact same for my lunch today! Just used stuff we already had, and no cooking.’
