Reliving Arthur’s nasty injury, Billie, 30, said: ‘Oh our poor little chops, honestly I felt so sorry for him.

‘He was coming down the stairs and he slid, tripped and landed on his foot and his foot kind of went backwards behind him.

‘Arthur isn’t one to moan or cry for more than a couple of minutes and he was holding his foot and when we didn’t see it moving I said to Greg: “right we need to go in the car and go to hospital now”.

‘He had an x-ray and the x-ray showed he had a fracture and a slight break so he had to go into a cast. I was thinking “oh no, how is this going to work?”.

‘It was really heartbreaking, his little face literally broke my heart.’

Elsewhere in the episode, Billie’s prank of pushing Greg out of the canoe and into the water fails as her daughter gets soaked in the process.

Unamused, Nelly begins to cry and screams: ‘I’m soaked. I’m done with it.’

Getting back in the boat, Greg does his best to reassure his daughter: ‘Nelly, Nelly that’s the same as jumping in the Maldives’, while Billie adds: ‘Guys it’s just a bit of water’.

Still furious, Nelly says: ‘I can’t wait to get off’.

Reflecting on the excursion in the video confessions, Billie says to Greg: ‘Nelly’s reaction was 0-100 wasn’t it. Oh the dramaticness of it.

‘It’s meant to be just a nice family day out, but Nelly being Nelly has one of her tantrums is just going to mean we’re going to have to go home.’
