She might be based in the UK, but Natalie Imbruglia is still an Australian girl at heart.  

Posting to Instagram on Australia Day, the singer, 45, revealed that her one-year-old son Max had been gifted an adorable denim jacket featuring a jar of Vegemite on the back.  

Uploading a photo of the adorable jacket resting on her legs, Natalie wrote :This just brightened my day!!’

‘Thank you aunty @ambersandquist for making this for Max, he can’t wait to try it on …@lauraimbruglia may be a little jealous,’ she added. 

It is believed that Natalie and Max are currently in Australia, having flown Down Under back in December last year.  

Upon arriving in the country, Natalie and Max completed their mandatory two-week stay in quarantine.

Posting to her Instagram Stories at the time, Natalie joked about how, Max, nicknamed ‘koala’, thought jet lag and quarantine was ‘hysterical.’

‘It’s 3am and I’m in quarantine in Australia with jet lag and this little baby koala thinks it’s hysterical!!’ Natalie captioned an early morning shot of the pair in pyjamas.

Natalie has kept a low profile in recent years, largely staying out of the spotlight to focus on starting a family.

The Torn songstress welcomed son Max via IVF in October last year.

In April 2020, Natalie spoke of her joy at defying the odds by becoming a first-time mother in her mid-forties.

‘I’m used to pushing the laws of probability in terms of what I’ve done in life. I’ve always managed to do things that are unlikely or improbable.’

The former Neighbours star said motherhood is ‘truly magical’ and has filled the void in her life.

‘Looking back I had lovely friends, had been married, a beautiful home and a career that I was proud of,’ she told Baby magazine.

‘But I’d long been at the point where I knew something was missing and that thing became something I yearned for above anything else’.
