On the left, Jasmine shared a picture of her boyfriend who appeared to be on holiday.

In the picture he sports a tan, patterned shirt and swimming shorts as he sits on the seafront in a sunny location.

But when attempting to recreate the picture, his skin tone came out much darker, while his eyes and all facial features disappeared.

Despite being cleanly shaven in the original photo, in the painting the man appears to have a moustache and very toothy grin.

People found the  mix up hilarious, with many saying they would be tempted to give it to him anyway, while others said the painting looked like Simon Cowell.

‘At least you finished it,’ wrote one.

‘Did you request a Simon Cowell version,’ asked another.

‘You should have been able to tell it wasn’t him from the lips,’ added a third.

‘He looks like Steve Harvey with hair mate,’ a third wrote.

‘Haha, ffs, I cannot cope,’ a fourth penned.
