Nicki Minaj boosts guard who didn’t stop TikTok user’s viral performance of Whole Lotta Money

A security guard named Michael said Nicki Minaj has given him a social media boost after he did not stop a fan from performing her collaboration with Bia, Whole Lotta Money, in a New York City Zara store in a clip which went viral.

Minaj sought to track down the guard on Instagram, who she found under the handle @bam_bigelow.

‘She said, “If I like one of your photos, I’ll get like 1000-plus likes, my phone is still buzzing,”‘ Michael told TMZ Monday in a chat alongside the TikTok user, Zha Chanel.

Michael said that his manager facilitated the contact with the hip-hip superstar, who asked him to send videos and images to prove his identity. 

She subsequently liked most of his posts, sending his follower count to more than 8,000 as of Monday evening.

‘If it wasn’t for her my manager or my supervisor none of this would happen,’ Michael told the outlet.

He said he was unsure if he would encounter any trouble for allowing the performance in the retail establishment.

‘I don’t know if I’m gonna get in trouble or not, if I do, whatever,’ he said. ‘I like positive vibes.’

He noted that Minaj said she would give him a separate gift, adding, ‘Whatever she gives me a blessed, blessed to be in a video with them.’

In the clip, the guard approached Chanel to interrupt her interpretation of the track, which includes some risqué lyrics, but then turned away and let her continue.

Minaj, 38, took to the social media site to laud Michael for his actions in the clip, saying ‘it’s the security guard sayin “y’all can’t do that in here” while walking AWAY from the festivities.’

The rapper wrote on Instagram Stories, ‘Someone tell the security guard in that video I posted that I’m lookin for him. I wanna send him a gift for being such a sweetheart to one of my babies.’

Minaj earlier thus month revealed on Instagram Live that she was participating on the remix, saying that after she complimented Bia on the track, she found out that Bia had sent her messages over the course of the past three years.

In the remix, the duo swapped lyrics and played off one another’s rhymes.

Minaj is currently at work on her fifth album. She released the track Fractions this past May, which was on her Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape re-release, also including the original tracks Crocodile Teeth and Seeing Green.
